Hey I am Sara,

A stubborn night owl and an incorrigible day dreamer. 

I am passionate about education and entrepreneurship, but most importantly I am a proud mom of two.

I started my career in Finance, but books have nurtured my imagination and shaped my identity to the core. As a child, I always dreamed of working in a publishing house. And you know what they say : “Dreams don’t disappear, we are born with them and they are meant for us.” 

With my backpack always strapped around my shoulders, I am a happy citizen of the world.  

My small tribe and I have recently settled in London, a vibrant, cosmopolitan city and we all love it! But I remain deeply and fiercely Moroccan.

However, while living in London with young kids is undeniably exciting at many levels, as a young mom I found it very challenging to compete with the prevailing environment and to pass on my home culture and language.

Even after an exhaustive and thorough research, I was unable to find engaging resources in Moroccan dialect. To share with my sons, not only my native language, but the whole Moroccan psyche. Because words are not only words. They are the very fabric of our identities, our stories and collective dreams.

And this is how Dar Lilei was born. From a strong desire to pay tribute to my Lingua Mater.

With interactive books and educational resources in Moroccan Darija, Dar lilei's aim is to connect Moroccan kids away from home to their culture and mother tongue. It is and will remain the core of our mission.

So far, we have published Klimaty, our first serie of sound books with a selection of words, native speaking voices and poetic illustrations. So that parents and little ones can enjoy and engage all their senses in the learning process. 

Our journey has just started and hopefully you can join … We have plenty of ideas and stories to share...
